Change your mind

It's okay to change your mind. Happy June 1st!
We've officially shifted into the second half of 2024. Time truly waits on no one. Time is not the only matter meant to shift, we are too.
If I'm allowed to be transparent with the HERspace Blog a moment, I've experienced some frustrations as of late. Be it self-imposed or just life "lifeing"... the frustration was real. I knew change was imminent because before life shifts, there are typically challenges.
Challenges with your responses, perceptions, &/or your entire being. What I attempted to disregard came up as reminders in different ways that I was forced to address. It became evident that a demand for change was inevitable & I determined whether it would be for the good or not.
I was speaking with a friend the other day, & it came up that Believers often place on God what is actually meant for us to handle. & if we follow God's way, we're actually well-equipped to handle all we face. Health, wealth, Faith, love & relationships, the Bible has given us a full FREE access subscription tool for all of it.
I asked the Father, if you've given us the tools to a successful life in Christ, why are people still stagnant in areas you've literally written for us to thrive? His response:
"They need to change their minds."
Changed minds change lives. -God
Essentially, He was admonishing that many are not seeing changes because the change must first begin in them. As mentioned, the Word of God gives us everything we need.
Romans 12:2 KJV
[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The above verse grants simple instructions if you desire to see God's GOOD ACCEPTABLE PERFECT Will in your life.
As a recap:
Rid yourself of what culture i.e. the world view is on any of your life matters. Refer to the Word. What has God spoken over the needed area of change? Begin here.
Secondly, your mind transforms (changes) AFTER it is renewed.
There are three renewal types:
1. First renewal resumes an activity after an interruption. Maybe a trauma, distraction or you intentionally got away from acting on this needed change area God's way, resume the activity today. The activity of prayer, seeking Him first knowing everything else will be added to you.
2. The next renewal type is to extend for a longer period of time. This is where we're most familiar when we go to the library for renewal of a book because we need to sit with it a little longer to finish. Some of us aren't ready to change because we need to sit in the Word a little longer. Let it marinate (shoutout to John Witherspoon*). With all your getting, get understanding, then your change is bound to happen.
3. Last type is to replace often something broken or worn out. Some of us our meditation is dated. We need a new system for a new day. Upgrade your hardware! This comes through a deep dive of study, accountability in the right community i.e. amongst the saints and allowing patience to have its perfect work.
It's time to renew. #forchange
SHARE which way you're renewing in the comments.
Then you will see the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God operate in your life.
The change must first begin in you one step at a time. One of my favorite quotes are:
"I am the master of my fate.
I am the captain of my soul."
As we start this beautiful month of June, let's take these keys and begin changing for God's good ❤️. Love you all!
