SOLE Purpose to SOUL win
The end of September 2020 I had a conversation with a close friend, seemingly at random about "witnessing to family." We both exchanged stories & went down our family lines discussing our knowledge as to whether they had accepted Jesus Christ as their savior.
I spoke of my Grandmother (my only living grandparent), & how my belief was she was saved. However, I felt there was further witnessing needed. 9:23 p.m. I looked at my clock and said to my friend, I should call her when we hang up but when I saw the time I distinctly recall saying, "It's too late." As soon as I said it, it's like something jolted on the inside of me to confirm the words released...
Two days later, my family would find out that my only living grandparent (pictured above) had a massive heart attack earlier the same day of my conversation with my friend & her body had been laying for at least two days.
Thusly, the words made sense -- it was too late.
Some may think that's a smidgen dramatic to introduce the topic of the month (soul win) of July but I beg to differ. Life and death are in the power of the tongue per Proverbs 18:21. Life and death are in the life & hands of Jesus Christ. Life or death is also a choice. The reality is we do not know exactly when we will be faced with meeting eternity.
Stay with me and I'll lighten the load by the conclusion :).
Life or death is a choice & I'm not just speaking of eternally. There are many "walking dead" among us. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior -- you are literally walking dead. Your soul is not winning.
Two reasons:
You are dead because your soul has not been given to Jesus Christ; therefore, you either do not know or lack the fullness of your purpose on this earth aka dead -- incomplete; or
You will ultimately be dead eternally because you made the choice to be separated from Him (i.e. no Salvation).
The choice is ours.
*Why so direct?
Well, just like I felt the words "it's too late" tangibly during my phone conversation last year, I feel tangibly that we are in very different times. Plagues in the land, record death numbers without war, countries turning against each other & themselves daily, race relations at an all time high, CONFUSION masked as truth, young dying more than the old, buildings collapsing, and generally there is just an absence of peace for many. Sound familiar? The Bible also speaks of people's hearts giving due to fears/anxiety. Statistically, there are already reports that the mental health crisis of these current generations will be studied and remain at record highs for decades to come... If there is anytime we need God it is now.
Here's the challenge
Most of the HERspace Blog readers are Christ believing women. Women who are wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, nieces, cousins, Goddaughters, & so forth. They are a village and surrounded by one. I will presume that you have already accepted Jesus as your Lord & Savior, striving to live and know Him intimately, and fulfilling your God ordained purpose daily. If not, please accept the challenge below for yourself and/or email me.
This month's challenge is --
1) Choose one family member whom you know is unsaved and/or is not getting the fullness of their life in Christ (Fullness is PEACE for the process i.e. following & not figuring ~ see prior blog);
2) PRAY for this family member daily. Pray in the Spirit, write a prayer, pray aloud... however you are led -- but not matter what pray;
3) Three weeks from today, 7/27/2021 -- call them, video them, or see them in person, for the SOLE purpose to SOUL Win. Tell them of how good Jesus is (noun -- His character & the adjective -- His actions. Many do not understand how God is good with the world's state or their state -- tell how He is good), share your love for Christ & the family member, offer Salvation and/or share of what you believe (Biblically) &/or anything God may reveal to you over the course of the next few weeks about their life for Christ. In other words, win the soul.
NOTE: Soul = mind, will, & emotions
Caveat ~ your family member may not immediately be receptive or accept the salvation of Jesus Christ in the moment but if you come in love (1 Cor. 13 type - real love), then you have planted a seed.
Finally, why are we beginning with family? God created the family and tribes. He holds family in a place of honor and it's modeled after His relationship with His son. Before we save the world, or go to the nations, let's begin at home.

Prayer of Salvation
Lord, please forgive me of all my sins and help me to forgive. Jesus, I believe in my heart that you died on the cross and rose again for me. I verbally confess & believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. Today, I am forgiven, redeemed, and saved. Thank You Lord!
