The Year of Evidence

This is year of EVIDENCE.

I’ll begin with an aside.

Years ago, the Lord gave me a Word titled “The Great Divide.” In this vision, I saw people standing on the same ground. Suddenly, the ground beneath them split. The majority stood on one side of the mountain, shouting epithets, curses, and other derogatory remarks. On the other side stood only a few.

What struck me most was not simply the divide itself, but who was divided. This separation was largely among family and friends—not foes. Those in the minority were looking upward, toward the sky. Their voices were raised, not in attack against the people on the other side, but in warning. Their cries were alerts—pleas—about the destruction that lay ahead.

I share more of this in the clip above.

I distinctly remember thinking two things as I released this Word again. First, it seems that every time I share this message, an earthquake occurs in Columbia. I thought that perhaps if I didn’t mention it this time, it wouldn’t happen. That was an erroneous deduction. Within a couple of weeks of the release, an earthquake occurred nonetheless.

This brings me to the second and more significant point.

I once believed The Great Divide would not take place within this immediate generation. However, I now believe the recent earthquake was another tangible symbol—evidence—that the shaking is happening now. This is not about intentional divisions born of fruitless, contentious arguments between people. Rather, this next divide will be forced.

And when it happens, it will be unmistakably clear which side of truth people have truly chosen. Speaking of evidence…

Toward the end of last year, I heard in prayer: “The year of Evidence.”

I also heard that the Lord will restore.

The scripture featured below underscores a critical truth: the Lord Himself handles our restoration. And consistent with His character, that restoration will exceed all we can ask, think, or imagine.

But…

This is a conditional promise.

It is predicated on our turning—not only from sin, but from any belief, way, or will that is not aligned with the Lord. Not my will, but God’s will be done.

Laying down our will is not always easy, especially when our circumstances and our “logical” minds contradict what God has already revealed to be His will. Nevertheless, the reality is simple: either we are going to trust Him, or we are not.

I have a few spiritual goals this year. 2025 was a blessed year for me. God kept His promises. Everything He said would happen, happened. Everything He said He would do, was done. His protection and precision are unmatched.

I distinctly heard at the end of last year:

“I did My part. Now it’s time to do yours.”

I believe this is a critical hour for the Body of Christ—to pray and seek the Lord more than ever before. Consistently. Persistently. Intentionally. Strategically.

This is the year of Evidence—and the evidence will speak for itself.

Let me explain…

When I say we must pray consistently, I mean pray at every opportunity. Set aside sacred time to meet with God—treat it like an appointment you do not cancel. Show up daily. I once heard it said, the way you do one thing is the way you do all things. If prayer is sporadic, the yielding may be inconsistent. Consistency makes prayer a lifestyle, not a reaction.

When I say be persistent, understand this: there will be moments when you don’t feel like praying. Pray anyway. There will be seasons of weariness—do not let up. Contend in prayer for promises, for life, for others. Do not stop until it comes to pass. Persistence is proof that you believe God more than your circumstances.

To pray intentionally means prayer is never casual. There is purpose behind every word. Borrowing from a prior HERspace blog—use your weapons. The Word of the Lord is not a suggestion; it is a sword. When you pray, don’t fight fair. Call on the Hosts of Heaven to stand behind what God has already spoken and what has already been decided in the heavenly realm.

To pray strategically means we are not ignorant of the enemy’s devices. God gives insight to those who call on Him, and the Holy Spirit reveals what to pray and how to pray it. Therefore, we pray what God has said and what He has shown—not fear, not speculation, not emotion.

My final focus this year is this: truth over facts.

Facts can blur the truth.

A diagnosis may be negative—but the truth is, you are healed.

A season may be trying—but the truth is, you will prevail and come out better than before.

I am choosing to focus on what God has spoken. I know that despite what it looks like, it is already decided. And His truth will set me free.

Happy New Year!

This will be the Year of Evidence.

Let me know your spiritual—or natural—goals in the comments.
