21 Day "Shut Out"

Happy NEW Year!!! I have a good bit to share with the HERspace Blog community. Before I state what I've heard for 2022, I want to dive into hearing the voice of the Lord. If you are an avid reader of this blog, I often say -- "I heard," or "God said then it happened..." & so forth. At the end of the year, I typically shut out intentionally to HEAR God on another level. As I was planning for the upcoming year, He prompted me to invite those who desire to "Shut Out" with God for 21 days. Join "Shut Out" Here This is a way I intentionally draw closer to God for no other reason but to be in His presence. Generally, He speaks. I know this intimate time with Him has built my ear for hearing the voice of the Lord keenly over the years. Admittedly, part of the keen hearing of God's voice is due to the gifting He has granted me. BUT He is not a respecter of persons and definitely talks to His children. At the start of this year, He desires for YOU to grow in intimacy with Him and know His voice. If you read this blog, you know some of the benefits I have received from knowing the voice of the Lord. I'm sure many of you have your own accounts of this knowledge as well. Now is the time to either start knowing the voice of the Lord and/or increase your confidence in hearing Him. Join this 21 Day "Shut Out," and you are sure to develop in this area if you commit.

21 Day Shutout with God #HearingHim #Consecration

Why 21 days? Statistics indicate it takes approximately this long to build a routine. Talking to and hearing from the Lord should be a part of your daily regimen. Below is how this consecration will proceed from January 5 to January 26, 2022.

• Choose a set time & space for a minimum of 30 minutes every day solely for God. Just you and Him. Make sure the time you set is a realistic time commitment for you. Meaning, if you're not a morning person, do not set your time for 4 a.m. If you struggle with 15 minutes with God, do not set a goal of 3 hours daily with Him. Set yourself up for realistic success! However, do make it a little longer than what you would normally spend . Suggestions: Early in the morning before sunrise or work; late in the evening after work; lunchtime. If you have a long commute, this is another opportunity. However, the preference is to be alone and still.

• Eliminate social media, television, and/or entertainment for "social" purposes. Give God your ear. You would be amazed how much intake your soul and spirit gets from these mediums -- some of it positive and some of it negative. The purpose of eliminating these forums is to create a "clean and keen" environment. If there is a lot to filter through -- negative images, foul words your brain has memorized, and so forth, your space is not clean. A clean eye and ear gates increase the ability to hear keenly from the Lord. If you need any of these platforms for business or ministry purposes, of course, please use it for that but get right back off ~ don't scroll :).

• Please limit phone calls, emails, and texts to Faith-based or work necessities only. It's just 21 days people :) -- commit your time to Him. You want the chief voice to be His. By eliminating social conversations, sets God's voice and priority and eliminates distractions. Again, use wisdom. Talk to the people you live with if any. & respond or send messages if you feel led to do so. However, the majority of the time, commit it to God.

• Replace typical social time with prayer, silence, journaling, walking with Him, worship, reading the Bible i.e. something related to spending time with God. I am suggesting to limit or eliminate social conversations & activities for these 21 days & replace with the above listed.

• No secular music.

• Wednesday, January 26, 2022, @ 6 a.m. we will end with a thirty-minute close-out prayer via conference call. I will send the phone number closer to that time.

Tips for hearing the voice of God

1. Be consistent and intentional. Whatever time you commit to, show up. Every single day at that time for 21 days. No excuses. Be intentional with your time and space. The space you choose matters. If it is your living room, closet, room, office, or car, please take some time to clean it and hallow it out. Some ways to hallow out space is to pray the Lord's presence to remain there, limit traffic, do not eat or drink in the space, be mindful of who is there, what is played or said. The space should be deemed Holy and sacred.

2. Know God speaks in silence. God says He will never leave us nor forsake us. He does not say He will always talk. Silence from God does not mean absence. Even if you do not hear anything, He is there. Omnipresent. What does God's silence communicate? His word is in Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5. Learn to embrace and love His silence. Not to get too deep, after you've hallowed out a space and invited Him in the room, He's there. That is enough. Everything you need is in the room. So, if He doesn't say one word -- rest. His silence is at work and speaking. Being silent in the presence of God renews you. Need proof? Read Isaiah 41:1.

3. Be still and practice listening. I recall at different points in my life, I practiced hearing the voice of God. I did this by listening to nothing and talking to no one except Him. Almost every time, I heard God's voice. Have a journal present & be ready to record anything He may say. You may only have 30 minutes a day, whatever the time is, wait and He will speak. NOTE: He may not speak to you at that very moment. Please do not be discouraged. It may come in a dream or some other way in a week...a month. But as you're building the discipline, HE is building in you.

4. Study the Bible. Studying the intricacies of God's word helps you to understand God's character which in turn builds confidence in knowing His voice.

5. Prayer and worship are open forums to create a space to hear Him. When I started out spending time with God, I was always talking and worshipping aloud. Subsequently, I would leave to go about my day. I now realize prayer and worship feed the atmosphere and it is ripe to hear the Lord speak. It is somewhat like a conversation with another person, we generally leave an opportunity for the other person to reply. Your praise, worship, and prayer to God generate an atmosphere for God to reply, be sure to take a moment to hear back from Him.

6. Differentiate between the competing voices. Your flesh and the enemy. The flesh is insatiable and generally wants what it wants immediately. Whatever the enemy is speaking a lie is in the mix of it. It is imperative to differentiate between voices because there are so many platforms that gives people the opportunity to speak solely because they have eloquent speech, good looks, or a title. Sadly, many of them are masked demons. Being keen in God's voice helps you to automatically know what isn't from Him even if they sound good.

7. Pray in the Spirit. This will increase your sensitivity to the Lord and build your spirit.

8. God's speaking may not be direct to you but He will speak. God may speak through the word, dreams, visions, time, season, signs, storms, colors, a song you hear, writing, while exercising, art, another individual -- especially children, or knowledge. Be open to whatever way or conduit He decides to speak through.

9. Know God's voice is not only audible. Written, Visual, Formal/Informal, and Verbal are four of the primary communication types. Yes, God does speak to us audibly but He speaks through writing/scribing ~ hello 66 books of the Bible! Visually -- beauties of this world, He's speaking. & so forth. Endeavor to not limit God's voice.

10. Practice makes perfect. Ask God to direct you on what to wear, which way to drive, or a larger matter for family or work. He will talk back! You gain confidence with constant communication. You know your spouse, children, coworker, or best friend's voice because you hear it all the time. Create an atmosphere by doing all of the aforementioned and you are sure to hear Him speak to you more & gain confidence in knowing it's Him.

EXPECT to learn and/or increase your confidence in knowing God's voice. If you fully commit to this 21 day Shut Out with the Lord, I am confident there will be testimonies of increased hearing through dreams, audibly, and many other forms. Shut out as much as you can and lend the Lord your ear to hear.

"Expect" the end result in the beginning. It's Day 1 and Day 7. #Kwanzaa #Imani #Faith

I've given a lot but there is a little more to share. In my time with God, He shared A LOT for 2022. I had to sort through what is just for Ebony, what is okay to share for now, and what may be for later. So, here goes...

*2022 is the year of completion. I kept hearing and seeing the word promises. The Lord has promised YOU many things and this year, many long-awaited promises will be completed. Done. Complete. Finally here! There shall be a performance on the words of God. BUT...

*It is going to take Faith and you have to be careful not to allow your expectation to wane. Today is the final day of Kwanzaa, Imani. The word Imani means Faith. This morning, the Lord reminded me of something He shared at the end of last year. "Expect" the end result in the beginning. On this 1st day of 2022 and the 7th day (final/completion) of Kwanzaa, think like God. He designed you to know the end from the beginning. He designed the world knowing the end from the beginning. This year, He wants us to go in knowing the end from the beginning. The end is your promise and whatever He has said this year would be for you. The number 7 is synonymous with completion, and the number one new beginnings. It is not by happenstance God emphasized the last day of Kwanzaa "Imani" which means Faith and the "start" of the year is the same day. God is saying how you start this year is keeping the finish in the forefront. You have to have "expectation" and Faith that it is going to happen. Whatever "it" is for you. He shared that the expectation is a "now" word NOT a word for the year. Right now, expect that no matter what is or may come, whatever God has spoken for this year so shall it be!

*Begin anew. Anew means in a new or different and typically more positive way. Do it different this time. Whatever that means for you. #anew

*The words "whirlwind," accelerate, and fast pace were also prevalent throughout the year as the Lord shared. It's like the year and many of the promises & happenings will be on an expedited track. Many of the aforementioned promises when they do come will occur FAST. God shared that we need to attune to Him in order to remain ahead. He will give His knowledge to keep us far ahead of the rest. Stay in tune with the voice of God.

*Safe keep... I also heard this word for this year. For many who do not allow their expectation to wane and keep their Faith, it will be a year marked with lifetime memories. A keepsake. The moments that are nigh are an array from God-ordained unions, partnerships, businesses, supernatural real estate grants, debts wiped, healing, signs, wonders, miracles, and other never heard but God experiences. To handle this year well, seek, use, and live in God's wisdom. "Wisdom precedes honor" in this case. Also, every promise released may not be readily shared with the public. I had a dream sometime before Christmas and every time I spoke -- attempted to record a video -- or post concerning what was happening in my life, my Pastor and a close friend kept saying Gag. When I woke up, I heard "Gag Order." Then God said to me: "concerning the things I've just told you would occur, give no public notice before I the Lord says that it is time." A gag order stops information from being disseminated to the public. For some of your soon to manifest promises, wisdom is necessary to see what is for the public and what is solely personal.

*Finally, there were some downloads regarding the pandemic, stocking, natural disasters, and warnings. I'm not sharing mostly due to what God has shared with me before, many of His instructions for these areas are subjective to the individual's house. Therefore, what He is instructing to one may not be the word for all. Which is another reason why this hearing consecration is essential -- you must hear the Lord for yourself.

MAJOR NOTE: Hearing God is a "benefit" to this shut out, not the reason for it. The reason for the consecration is solely to be with Him. Make room. Make Him priority by giving the Lord your ear and time.
